Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS), Level I:

This is a drop-off program for young children to discover a relationship with Jesus, the Good Shepherd, in an environment designed to meet their needs as young children. Their room, called an Atrium, is set up weekly as a sacred space for up to eight children accompanied by a fully-trained catechist and assistant. (Children must be potty-trained). Adult Education Night 09/12/19 (subject to change).

Thursdays or Fridays, 9:30-11:30 am

September 19 or 20 through May 28 or 29

Cost: $400 or $50/month (financial aid available)

GRADES 1-7 (two options)

Weekly Classroom Program consists of grade-level classes taught by trained catechists from our parish. (Text: Spirit of Truth by Sophia Institute Press) Class time options:

Sundays 11:45-1:00, Mondays 4:30-5:45 or Tuesdays 4:30-5:45 or 6:30-7:45

Parent-Led Family Catechesis (pilot group) is a hybrid of in-parish learning, one Sunday per month, with other families and studying the monthly theme at home, both as a family and with individual age-appropriate activities for children and parents. This model of learning replaces previous home-study option. Monthly Sunday gatherings will occur 3:15-4:45pm. Contact our Christian Formation Office if interested to see if there is space available.

1st EUCHARIST AND 1st RECONCILIATION parent meeting: October 6-8 during Sunday-Tuesday classroom times

Eighth Grade students begin preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation, which they may celebrate in 9th Grade at the earliest. The goal in these years is to discover a personal relationship with God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and to learn about one’s Christian vocation/calling to live as Jesus taught us and to serve God and neighbor. Registration is the same as Grades 1-7 (different Registration Meeting times). This is for any students who have yet to celebrate Confirmation or who wish to study together in a classroom setting

Sundays 11:45-1:00 or Tuesdays 6:30-7:45
