Serve Like Jesus

The Church is composed of people like me.
I help make it what it is. It will be friendly, if I am.
Its pews will be filled with people, if I help fill them. It will do great work, if I work.
It will make generous gifts to many causes, if I am generous giver.
It will bring new and other people into worship and fellowship, if I invite them.
With the help of God, I dedicate myself to the task of being all the things
that I want the Church of Jesus to be.

Parish Pastoral Council

We, the Saint Patrick’s Parish Pastoral Council, are called to serve our parish by assisting the pastor in promoting the mission of the parish, the diocesan Church and the universal Church –

  1.  To proclaim the Gospel
  2.  To serve needs of our parish
  3.  To promote and communicate our common vision and mission
  4.  To advocate for the poor and the powerless
  5.  And to extend our Christian commitment to the communities around us.
"Dear Lord,
Teach me to be as generous
as You have been generous to me.
Teach me that all that I am and have are gifts from You
and that these gifts are meant to be shared with others.
Show to me the joys of generosity.
Help me to understand that others,
even those unknown to me, may benefit from my help.
Keep me ever mindful that, as Your disciple,
I am called to be a “good Samaritan”
and to share Your “Good News” with the world.
Jesus, make me a gift to others in Your name. Amen."
